Update your email contacts list: ACT email addresses update

In August, ACT transitioned from our www.actcommunity.net address to www.actcommunity.ca – at the same time, we updated our email addresses.

Emails sent to our old @actcommunity.net address are being directed to our new @actcommunity.ca addresses, but we encourage you to update your contacts list to our new @actcommunity.ca addresses.

Creating a Medical Profile – A Free Tool for Parents and Caregivers

A new tool, developed in B.C., aimed at helping parents and caregivers to prepare for visits to a hospital emergency department is now available on the ACT website. The medical profile form was developed in response to the concerns of many caregivers faced with communicating complex information to medical staff, while coping with a distressed individual with a developmental disability, autism and/or a mental health concern.

Adult Siblings Panel – Nov 15th, Vancouver.

On Day 1 of the Sibhops event, we have 7 adult siblings for a panel discussion. This is a unique opportunity to see what siblings have to say about about the challenges and the strengths of growing up with a sibling with special needs. When we had a siblings panel last year, it was one of our most popular and powerful sessions. Not to be missed!
